Wanda Virginia Collins Marlowe,
64, beloved wife of James Wesley Marlowe, went home to be with the Lord,
Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at her son’s residence.
Mrs. Marlowe was born the
daughter of Hamilton Morgan Collins and Virginia Evans Collins on September
12, 1955 in Andrews. She was a member of the Highway Pentecostal
Holiness Church in Elgin. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time
with her family especially her granddaughter. She was a devoted wife,
loving mother, cherished grandmother and a caring sister.
She is survived by:
her husband, James; two children, Christopher Stephen “Chris” Marlowe (Emily
Cox) and James Wesley “ Wes” Marlowe (Shannon) and a granddaughter, Lilly
Nichole Marlowe. She is also survived by: a brother, Paul Collins;
four sisters, Linda Hammond (Ray), Juanita Collins, Angie Collins, and
Tammy Tilton (Bruce); and a brother-in-law, Jerry Powell
She was predeceased by:
her parents; and a sister, Barbara Powell.
A Graveside Service will
be 2PM, Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery
directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Officiating
will be Rev. Timothy McKenzie and Rev. Allen Ard.
The Marlowe family will
receive family and friends prior to the service from 1-2PM in the sanctuary
of Oak Grove UMC.
