Mr. Wilson C. “Shot” Lambert,
81, beloved husband of Joyce Mildred Lambert, went home to be with the
Lord, Thursday, March 14, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Lambert was born the
son of John Presselly “Rufus” Lambert and Beulah Annie Lambert on June
28, 1937 in Georgetown County. He was a 1955 graduate of Andrews
High School and was a retired employee of International Paper Company where
he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a United States
Army National Guard Veteran proudly serving for 30 years. He was
a member of the Andrews Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a devoted
husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, caring brother, and a loyal
Shot and Joyce were married
on October 24, 1957 and celebrated 61 years together. Their home
was blessed with: two children, Ron Charles (Kristy) Lambert and
Tammy L. (Wade) Moore; five grandchildren, Brant Moore, Melaina Moore,
Connor Ron Lambert, Davey (Jessica) Morris, and Katelynn Durant; and three
great-grandchildren, Davidson Morris, Bryson Morris, and Trey Pring.
He also leaves behind: a brother, Vernod “VJ” (Marcelia) Lambert;
a sister, Jeannette “Jenna” L. (Tillman) Black; and a number of nieces
He was predeceased by:
his parents; and a daughter, Shelia Janay Lambert.
A Home Going Celebration
with Military Honors will be 3PM, Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Andrews
First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be Rev. Dean
Baber. Internment will follow in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery directed
by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
