Vickie Lynn Bazen Casselman,
65, the widow of Harris Ervin Casselman, went home to be with the Lord,
Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Casselman was born
the daughter of Charlie Bazen and Ruth Bazen Walker (Peter James) on November
14, 1954 in Georgetown. She was a former employee of 3V Chemicals
and Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed singing,
sewing, horseback riding, and putting on puppet shows. She loved
serving others and helping those in need. She was a former member
of the Holy Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church and Liberty Christian Church.
She was a charter member of New Hope Fellowship Church where she faithfully
served as a deaconess, a Sunday school teacher, and children’s ministry.
She leaves behind: four
children, Ashton Lee Davis Jr. (Lauren), Jennifer Christine Davis, Ila
Desiree Casselman, and Harris Jake Casselman; and three grandchildren,
Owen Davis, Logan Casselman, and Jenavieve Casselman; and her lifelong
friend, Ashton Lee Davis. She also leaves behind: two sisters,
Ruth Ann Howell and Belinda Jordan (Dean); and her extended family, Harold
Casselman (Margie), Rev. John Wilson “JW” Casselman (Karen), Bruce Casselman
(Glenda), Harriett “Teddy” Ethridge, Gennelle Young (Marion), Barbara “Bobbi”
Tisdale; and Carolyn Fulton (Phil), Bobbi Ann Casselman, Bobbi Casselman,
Cecil Davis (Becky), Rembert Davis, and Juan Davis; and a number of nieces
She is predeceased by:
her parents; her husband; a brother, Charles Lewis “CL” Bazen; and a sister,
A Home Going Celebration
will be 2PM, Sunday, February 16, 2020 at New Hope Fellowship Church.
Interment will follow in the Ivy Cemetery directed by the Georgetown Chapel
of McKenzie Funeral Home.
The Casselman family
will receive family and friends 6-8PM, Saturday evening, February 15, 2020
in the sanctuary of New Hope Fellowship Church.
