 Teddy Eugene Whitmire, 76, beloved husband of Genera D. Whitmire, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at his residence.  
 Mr. Whitmire was born the son of George Whitmire and Edna Ruth Crye Lambert on April 16, 1942 in Cleveland, TN.  He was a retired United States Veteran where he served in the United States Navy, Army and Army National Guard.  He proudly served his country in Desert Storm.  He faithfully attended the First Free Will Baptist Church of Kingstree.    He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodwork.  He made rocking chairs each year for the Toys for Tots campaign.
 He leaves behind:  his wife; five children, Timothy Eugene (Karen) Whitmire, Billy Joe (Julie) Whitmire, George William Whitmire, Russell Whitmire, and Amanda (Sherman) Winns; seven grandchildren, Billy Whitmire Jr., Mindy, Erin, Erica, Justin, Levi, and  Serenitie; and two great-grandchildren, Jase and Jessica.  He also leaves behind:  a brother, Isaac Lambert, Jr.; and a sister, Glenda Howard.
 He was predeceased by:  his parents; his son, Richard Lee Whitmire; and a sister, Brenda Morris.
 Funeral Service with Military Honors will be 3PM, Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home, 606 S. Rosemary Ave, Andrews, SC.  Burial directed by McKenzie Funeral Home will follow in the Lambert Cemetery.
 The Whitmire family will receive family and friends prior to the service from 2-3PM at the Andrews Chapel.
