Teddy Altman, the widower
of Gail Roberts Altman, departed this life on Monday, March 19, 2018 at
his residence after a long illness.
Mr. Altman was born the
son of Benson Altman and Elvie Altman on September 22, 1942 in Hemingway.
He was a 35 year retired sewing machine mechanic with Hemingway Apparel.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He leaves behind:
two daughters, Fonda Altman Miles and Karen A. Altman; seven grandchildren,
Asheley (Scott) McWethy, Jeremy (Amber) Miles, Eric Miles, Brandy A. (Charlie)
Herrington, Brad Owens, Heather Owens, George “BooToot” Owens; seven great-grandchildren,
Jacob McWethy, Gracelynn Miles, Jayden Miles, Hailey Altman, Anna Claire
Herrington, Hillary Owens, and Adia Price; two brothers, Charles B. (Talou)
Altman and Jimmy Altman; two sisters, Nella Rae A. Godbold and Linda L.
Hughes; his sister-in-law, Bonnie Altman; a brother-in-law, George Avant;
and the mother of his children, Redetha Eaddy Altman.
He was predeceased by:
his parents; his wife; two brothers, Donnie Joe Altman and Freddie Altman;
a sister, Monta E. Avant; a sister-in-law, Mander Altman; and two brother-in-laws,
Oscar Godbold and Robert Hughes.
Funeral Services will be
11AM, Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Twin Cities Baptist Church. Officiating
will be Rev. Robbie Jones. Interment directed by the Hemingway Chapel
of McKenzie Funeral Home will follow in the Eaddy Ford Cemetery.
Visitation will be
6-8PM, Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in the sanctuary of Twin Cities Baptist
