Retha “Rita” May Morse, 87, the widow of Lincoln Morse, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 2, 2013, at the Tidelands Community Hospice House. 

Mrs. Morse was born the daughter of Tom Strickland and Pearl Strickland on May 14, 1926 in Spring Hope, NC.  She committed her life to acts of selfless giving for her family, and an unconditional love to earn her the distinguished title – Beloved Mother.  
 
She leaves behind:  four children, Carol Christine (Chris) Iverson, Lynn Beaulieu, Buck Lee Beaulieu, and Jim Dean Morse; ten grandchildren, Ellen Gumusdear, Ashley Thomas, Austin Smothers, Jody Whalens, Johnny Lowe, Todd Beaulieu, Sierra Beaulieu, Lori Iverson, Amanda Beaulieu, and Stephany Ann Beaulieu; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by:  her parents; her husband; a son, George Stephen Beaulieu; three brothers, Gilbert Strickland, Gerly Strickland, Zilly Pike; and a sister, Ida Strickland.  

The Morse Family will receive family and friends from 5-7 PM, Tuesday evening, August 6, 2013 at the Georgetown Chapel.

No Service has been planned at this time.
