Rev. James “Jimmy” Edgar Gould

Rev. James “Jimmy” Edgar Gould, 67, beloved husband of Gay Sue Wilder Gould, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at his residence.  
         Rev. Gould was born the son of James Robert Gould and Mary Ruth Walters Gould on November 29, 1950 in Charleston.  He was a former employee of IGA, BI-LO, and Piggly Wiggly.   He life’s calling and first love was being Minister of the Gospel for over 30 years.  He was an ordained minister of the United Congregational Holiness Church in Georgia and a licensed Minister of the Free Will Baptist of the Pentecostal Faith.  Over the years, he served as Pastor of Grace FWB of the Pentecostal Faith, Sumter, SC; Beulah FWB of the Pentecostal Faith, Scranton, SC; Chaplain at Hannah Residential Manor, Pamplico; Vice President of Vision of Mercy Ministries; was active in the Blue Ridge Holiness Camp Ground; and severed as a cook for Youth Camps and Camp Meetings for the FWB of the Pentecostal Faith.    He was a charter member of the Sounds of Victory Holiness Church.  
         Jimmy and Gay were married on  July 2, 1972 and celebrated  45 years together.  Their home was blessed with:  three children, Robert Wayne (Michele) Gould, Susan Marie (Rodney) Floyd, and Mary Rebecca Gould; and four grandchildren, Ashley Renee Gould, Shawn Christian Gould, Breanna Alexis Floyd, and Mason Alexander Floyd.  He also leaves behind:  one brother, Anthony Glenwood Gould; and a sister, Barbara G. (Clarence) Phillips.  
He was predeceased by:  his parents; and a brother, Patrick William Gould.  
A Home Going Celebration with Ministerial Recognition will be 3PM, Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Free Will Baptist of the Pentecostal Faith Headquarters, 3868 Puddin Swamp Road, Tuberville, SC 29162.  Interment directed by the Hemingway Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home will follow in Matthews Cemetery, Lynch Road, Coward, SC.
The Gould family will receive family and friends prior to the service from 2-3PM in the tabernacle.
