Ronald Jeff Gatlin, 53, departed this life,
Sunday, March 3, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Gatlin was born the son of Ronald
Earl Gatlin and the late Faye Moore on April 22, 1965 in Georgetown.
He was a Unit Operator for Santee Cooper for over 26 years before retiring.
He was an United States Navy Veteran and was a member of the Veterans of
Foreign War and the Sons of Confederacy. He was an avid outdoorsman
and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a devoted son, loving
father, cherished granddaddy, caring brother, and a loyal friend.
He leaves behind: his father; a
son, Ronald Jeff (Holly) Gatlin, Jr.; a daughter, Melissa Lynn Gatlin;
three grandchildren, Noah Steel Gatlin, Elijah Jeff Gatlin, and soon to
arrive, Jonah Wade Gatlin. He also leaves behind: four
sisters, Sherry (Avery) Caddell, Rhonda (Odell) Powers, Vicky (Joe) Brunson,
and Rachel Gatlin.
A Celebration of Life Service with Military
Honors will be 2PM, Friday, March 8, 2019 at North Hampton Baptist Church.
Officiating will be Rev. Franklin Lowrimore. Interment will follow in the
church cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
The Gatlin family will receive family
and friends 6-8PM, Thursday evening, March 7, 2019 at the Andrews Chapel,
606 South Rosemary Ave, Andrews.
