Raymond Everett Thompson


Raymond Everett Thompson, 80, the widower of Mary Trinidad Griego Thompson, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at his residence.
 Mr. Thompson was born the son of Wally Thompson and Elizabeth Evans Thompson on July 10, 1934 in Andrews.  He was a retired Insurance Salesman and a member of the Spring Gulley Baptist Church.  He was a beloved father and grandfather, loving brother, and cherished friend.
 He leaves behind:  four children, Larry Thompson, Darrell (Ruth) Thompson, Teresa (Daren) Wiggins and Betsy Prosser; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Donald (Betty) Thompson and Rubin Thompson; a son-in-law, Dewey Flowers; and many loving nieces and nephews.
 He is predeceased by:  his parents; his wife; a daughter, Debra Flowers; six brothers, Bobby Thompson, Cub Thompson, Tommy Thompson, Billy Thompson, JP Thompson, and Jack Thompson; and six sisters, Geneva McGee, Linda Henry, Lydia Haselden, Ona Schaal, Katherine “Kitty” Fenters, and Verma Haselden.
A Home Going Celebration will be 2PM, Sunday, February 8, 2015, at the Spring Gulley Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5-8PM, Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Andrews Chapel.
