Julius Alvin “RB” Mims, 90, the widower of Evelena Wilson Mims, departed this life, Monday, November 9, 2020 at Prisma Health Richland.
Mr. Mims was born the son of Robert Mulder Mims and Littie Dellmont Mims on January 26, 1930 in Cades. He was the owner and operator of Mims' Roofing Company. He was a member of Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a hard worker and his favorite relaxation was fishing. 
“RB” and Evelena were married on December 5, 1968 and shared 43 years together. Their home was blessed with: four children, Cecil A Mims, Earl Collins, Jr., Charles Collins (Amy), and Denise Ward (Michael); eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by: his parents; his wife; and a son, Cecil; two brothers, Walker Mims and Dave Mims; and two sisters, Juanita Wilder and Lavinia Creel;
A Graveside Service will be 2PM, Friday, November 13, 2020 at Spring Pond Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery directed by McKenzie Funeral Home.
The Mims family will receive family and friends immediately after the service.
Due to Covid-19, the family asks that everyone please practice social distancing and facemasks as required.
