Roosevelt “Boogie Jack” Lambert,
78, beloved husband of Evelyn Marline Lambert, went home to be with the
Lord Monday, October 10, 2016 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Lambert was born the
son of Grover Ernest Lambert and Sallie Michau Lambert on November 3, 1936
in Georgetown. He was a retired logger with Moore’s Logging.
He was a member of the Sampit Pentecostal Holiness Church where he severed
as a Sunday School teacher and interim Pastor many times. He also
severed as a Lay Speaker at many small churches.
Roosevelt and Evelyn were
married on January 14, 1956 and celebrated 60 years together. Their
home was blessed with: five children, Greg (Tressie) Lambert, Franklin
“Charlie” (Montie) Lambert, Leon W. (Betty) Lambert, Robin M. (Ricky) Shinn,
and Perry Lamar Lambert; twelve grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by:
his parents; a son, Perry Lambert; two brothers, Graham Lambert and Bobbie
Lambert; and three sisters, Juanita “Nita” Ward; Corine Brown; and Carolina
A Home Going Celebration
will be 3PM, Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Saints Delight Pentecostal
Holiness Church. Internment will follow in the Lambert Cemetery directed
by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Visitation will be
6-8PM, Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness
