Robin Altman Gates, 64, a
beloved mother, grandmother, and the daughter of Sweeney Lee Altman and
Grace White Altman-Johnson, entered her Eternal Home joining her awaiting
Savior, family, and friends, on Friday morning, September 28, 2018, from
Roper Hospice Cottage.
Ms. Gates was born May 12,

Children’s Home. She participated in the monthly vegetable collection
for the Home at Hanna’s Chapel. Items were purchased and collected
for the Home as well. Her last project was planning a large Yard Sale to
benefit the Home, however, time did not allow for this project to be completed.
Robin was also very active in finding and securing gifts, toys, clothing,
etc., for her Mother’s many Mission Trips overseas (orphanages, hospitals,
and nursing homes were included in each trip). She was always a loving,
caring, person and showed concerned about others by continuously making
care packages (including Christmas stockings) for those she felt needed
some special attention at all holidays.
She leaves behind:
her mother, Grace; her daughter, Staci Gates; two grandchildren, Kali and
Morgan; a brother, Avery Lee Altman; two sisters, Ardith Koon and Clyce
