Pittman Mack Lane, 91, widower
of Frances Elizabeth Capps Lane, took his awaiting journey to his eternal
home and see his family and friends on Saturday afternoon, September 8,
2018 at his residence.
Mr. Pittman was born the son of John Cleveland Lane and Lola Mae Huggins
Lane on May 28, 1927 in Marion. He was a 39 year retired employee
with International Paper Company where he was a member of the Quarter Century
Club. He was a United States Army Veteran and was a member of The
First Church of the Nazarene.
Pittman and Frances were married on November 17, 1945 and celebrated 65
years together. Their home was blessed with: five children,
Julia Carol L. Bone, Donnie M. Lane, Shirley Jean L. Polson, Joyce Ann
L. (Charlie) Graham, and Johnny W. Lane; and eight grandchildren,
Wayne Polson, Kelly (Tim Wood) Casselman, Shelly (Chris) Stone, Monica
(Adman) West, Roy O. (Betty) Bone, Shannon Bone, Audrey Lane, and Erica
(Logan) Wolfsen; fourteen great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by: his parents; a son, Johnny; a sister,
Blanche Cooper; two great-grandchildren, Zane Howard and Monica Carol Bone;
and two son-on-laws, Otto O’Neal Bone and James R. “Bobby” Polson.
Home Going Celebration with Military Honors will be 11 am, Tuesday, September
11, 2018 in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Interment directed
by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home will follow in the Cemetery.
The Lane Family will receive family and friends prior to the service from
10-11AM in the Mausoleum.
