Pearl Lee Self Goude
Pearl Lee Self Goude, 91,
the widow of Oscar Ervin Goude, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday,
November 15, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Goude was born the
daughter of William Nathan Self and Hulda Jane Davis Self on January 10,1926
in Laurens. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her
grandchildren. She was a member of The River Pentecostal Holiness
Church. She was a devoted wife; loving mother, cherished sister;
and caring sister. She had a servants heart, gave unselfishly to
many, and was a mother to numerous Godchildren.
She leaves behind:
three children, Wilson Ervin Goude, Sr.; Mark Stephen “Steve” (Julie) Goude,
and Sandra Faye (Johnny) Baylor; daughter-in-law, Ginger Goude; ten grandchildren;
25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren. She also
leaves behind: a brother, Bobby (Frances) Self; three sisters,
Lena Mae Roberts, Ruby Henry, and Sarah Jordan; a number of nieces and
nephews; and her beloved fury companion “Smurf”.
She was predeceased by:
her parents; her husband; two sons, Larry Larue Goude and Michael Earl
Goude; a daughter, Shirley Lee Baker; daughter-in-law, Christine Goude;
a brother, Ralph Self; and four sisters, Lou Cashan, Azalee Swails, Jeanette
Barnes, and Dora Johnston.
A Home Going Celebration
will be 1PM, Saturday, November 18, 2017 at The River Pentecostal Holiness
Church. Internment will follow in the Hucksfield Cemetery directed
by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. Officiating
will be Rev. Susie Dease and Rev. Ronnie Newton.
Visitation will be 6-8PM,
Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home,
606 South Rosemary Ave., Andrews, SC.
