Philip “Buster” Harold Metts, Jr. 66, beloved father and the widower of Janette J. Metts, departed this life Saturday, July 1, 2017 at his residence.
 Mr. Metts was born the son of Philip Harold Metts, Sr. and Lois Margaret Haselden Metts on January 13, 1951 in Hemingway. He was an employee of Grand Strand Water and Sewer Authority. He was a member of Hemingway United Methodist Church. He was a member of the South Carolina Umpire Association and served 15 years in Georgetown County as a coach for Little League, Pony League, and Dixie Youth baseball teams. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
 He leaves behind: three children, Harold “Hal” Jason Metts, Layla Elissa Metts, and Jeffrey Tyson Metts; and a sister, Teresa (Roy) DeBolt. 
 He was predeceased by: his parents; his wife; and two sisters, Jennifer Miller and Rosemary Metts. 
 A Memorial Service will be 6PM, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
 The Metts family will receive family and friends immediately after the service
