Marcia Wheeler Gatlin, 68, the widow of Woodrow George “Woody” Gatlin, Jr., finished this earthly race entering her eternal home, Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at MUSC. 
Mrs. Gatlin was born the daughter of Waymond Lamont Wheeler and Sara Elizabeth “Libby” Johnson Wheeler on December 27, 1951 in Andrews.   She was the owner and operator of Ramblewood Kennels.   She was very well known for her accomplishments with AKC and UKC with her Boykins in Show and confirmation, and dock diving.  She was a Gold level Breeder for the Boykin Spaniel Society and has produced some of the highest quality Boykins that has brought so much love into so many homes.  Marcia believed in carrying on the tradition and love for the breed that her father instilled in her.
She was born the second of four siblings:  Avis Smith (Lewis), Monty Wheeler (Judy), and Frankie Wheeler (Sharon).
She leaves behind: her mother; two children, Travis (Celeste) Gatlin and Tess G. (Brad) McConnell; four grandchildren, Jordan, Gunnar, Jana, and Brody; her siblings, Avis, Monty, and Frankie; and her fur baby, Newt.
She was predeceased by:  her husband, Woody; and her father, Waymond Lamont Wheeler.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 3PM, Sunday, September 13, 2020 at The Christian Fortress.   Interment will follow in the Harmony Cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. 
The Gatlin family will receive family and friends prior to the service from 1:30 – 2:30 PM in the church sanctuary.  
The Gatlin family will also receive family and friends Friday evening and Saturday evening from 6-8PM at the Gatlin home.
