Merrell Whitnauer Casselman,
62, beloved wife of Wilson Beamen Casselman, departed this life, Friday,
December 23, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Casselman was born
the daughter of John Leonard Whitnauer Sr. and Retha Mae Cribb Whitnauer
on June 21, 1954 in Summerville. She enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing,
and cooking. Her greatest love and accomplishment was that of being
a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Her legacy can be
described by Proverbs 31: 28, “Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her.”
She leaves behind:
her husband; four children, David (Salina) Birt, Daniel (Christina) Birt,
Beamen (Melissa) Casselman, and Angel Cherry; nine grandchildren, Vanessa,
Josh, Savannah, Abel, Hunter, Carma, Jaden, Heather and Hailey; and three
great-grandchildren, Nathan, Drake, and Anna Grace. She also leaves
behind: four brothers, Johnny (Janice) Whitnauer, Jack Whitnauer,
Frankie Whitnauer, and Larry Whitnauer; and a sister, Sherrell Whitnauer.
She was predeceased by:
her parents; a brother, Ricky Whitnauer; and a sister, Linda Hewitt.
A Graveside service will
be 2PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Piney Forest Cemetery directed
by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.

6-8PM, Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral
