Mary Lee Creel Tyler, 73, the widow of Clifford Austin Tyler, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, May 28, 2017 at her residence. 
Mrs. Tyler was born the daughter of Chief Commander Creel and Emmie Cribb Creel on July 23, 1943 in Georgetown County.   She was a retired employee of Wellman Industries and former Deli manager at Piggly Wiggly.  She was a member of Poplar Hill Free Will Baptist Church where she was active in the Women’s Auxiliary. 
She leaves behind:  two children, Judy T. (Dennis) Hughes and Clifford Brian (Olivia) Tyler; six grandchildren, Preston (Rowena) Hughes, Clifford Wayne (Corey) Hughes, Sidney Lee Hughes, Cody Tyler, Adrian Sawyer, and Aaron Sawyer, and three great-grandchildren, Deniel, Mahaley, Trevor.  She also leaves behind:  a brother, Frank Creel; four sisters, Virginia (Cliff) Rogers, Patsy Weatherford, Roseanne Armstrong, Sarah (Tony) Wildes; and a brother-in-law, Frankie Haselden. 
She was predeceased by:  her parents; her husband; a brother, Malcolm “Bubba” Creel; and two sisters, Linda Haselden and Dean Prosser.
A Home Going Celebration will be 4 PM, Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Poplar Hill Free Will Baptist Church.  Internment will follow in the church cemetery directed by the Hemingway Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. 
Visitation will be 6-8PM, Tuesday evening, May 30, 2017 in the sanctuary of Poplar Hill FWB Church.
