Mary Grace Singleton Burkett, 78, the widow of Franklin E. “Red” Burkett, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Tidelands Community Hospice House. 

Mrs. Burkett was born the daughter of Pearly Clyde Singleton and Florrie Maybell Hardee Singleton on October 30, 1934 in Horry County.  She was a member of the East Side Free Will Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith.

She leaves behind: a brother, William “Billy” Singleton; a sister, Eloise Foxworth; and a special niece, Carol Ann (Jay) Ward.

She was predeceased by:  her parents; her husband; three brothers, Henry Singleton, Lloyd Singleton, and Eugene Singleton; and four sisters, Perline Cribb, Lucille B. Thompson, Oneta Ward, and Evelyeen Cordray.

A Going Home Celebration will be 2PM, Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at the Eastside Free Will Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith.   Interment will follow in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens directed by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
     
Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Monday evening, August 5, 2013 in the church sanctuary.
