Mary Frances Morris

Mary Frances Morris, 94, of Georgetown, SC, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children on January 7, 2016.
Mrs. Morris was born the daughter of Alan and Mary Greenwood Riddle on December 6, 1921, at her family home in Newport, OH.  She was a 1939 graduate from Mount de Chantal Academy.  She had four children with her first husband who died suddenly in 1956 in WV.  She married her second husband who died following a long illness in 1971.  Frances relocated to Myrtle Beach, SC, where she met and married her third husband who died of natural causes in 2006.
Despite several great losses and challenges, Frances lived a very full, happy and interesting life. She was a good mother, wife, and friend to many. “She never knew a stranger” was her greatest attribute.  She was loved by all who passed through her life.  She will be greatly missed and remembered.
She leaves behind: a son, David (Mary) Dugan of Lexington, VA; two daughters, Rebecca (Patrick) Zohn of Athens, GA; and Melinda Dugan of Greensboro, NC; a daughter-in-law, Loretta Dugan of Georgetown, SC; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by:  her parents; her first husband, William. E. Dugan, Jr. of PA; a second husband, Charles B. Myers, Sr. of WV; a third husband, Lindsey C. Morris of SC; a son, William E. Dugan III; a grandson, William E. Dugan IV; and two brothers.
In the spirit of her Life, a Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM, January 16, 2016, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
The Morris family will receive family and friends immediately after the service in the church sanctuary.
The family wishes to thank all who cared for Frances at Shannon Gray Rehab and Recovery Center in Jamestown, NC; and the Hospice of the Piedmont facility in High Point, NC.
In lieu of flowers,  donations may be made in her memory to:  Oak Grove United Methodist Church, c/o Loretta Dugan, Treasurer, 112 Hawk Court, Georgetown, SC 29440 or Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
