Mary Bell McCants Elliott,
83 the widow of John Samuel Elliott, Jr., went home to be with the Lord,
Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Mrs. Elliott was born the
daughter of Henry Russell McCants and Florie Bell Cannon McCants on February
14, 1931 in Williamsburg County. She was a retired Librarian with the Georgetown
County School District – Andrews Branch. She was a member of the
Andrews First Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a member of the Willing
Workers Sunday School Class.
Mary Bell and John S. were
married on November 10, 1950 and celebrated 62 years together. Their
home was blessed with: three children, Joyce (Jim) Holland, Peggy
(Silas) Lambert, and Lisa (Tim) Wildes; six grandchildren, Kimberly (James)
Wilson, Kevin (Wendy) Lambert, Elliott Holland, Natalie (Dan) Morris, Trevor
Wildes, and Lacey Wildes; and eight great-grandchildren, Morgan, Jordyn,
and Logan Wilson, Annabell, Kamryn, Emmalee, and Johnathan Lambert, and
Joey Wildes. She also leaves behind: a brother, Jimmy (Ann)
McCants; a sister, Vivian (Donald) Owens; and a special friend, Christine
She was predeceased by:
her parents; her husband; a brother, Winston McCants; and a sister, Barbara
Jean “Bobbie” McCants.
A Home Going Celebration
will be 3PM, Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Andrews First Pentecostal
Holiness Church. Interment will follow in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery
directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6-8PM,
Saturday evening, November 15, 2014, at the Andrews Chapel.
