Gresham

  Mary Alice Jackson Woodberry, 90, the widow of Robert Lee Woodberry, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 1, 2015, at Heritage Home of Florence. 
Mrs. Woodberry was born the daughter of Rubert Jackson and Mary Ford Jackson on September 30, 1924 in Conway.  She attended the Liberty Southern Christian PH Church where over the years she was a Sunday School teacher, VBS worker, and served in Women’s Ministries. Her greatest accomplishment and joy was that of devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother.
Robert and Alice were married on June 1, 1939 and celebrated 43 years together.  Their home was blessed with:  two daughters, Sylvia Jo W. (Larry) Stone and Betty W. (Wylie) Coker; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.  
She was predeceased by:  her parents; her husband; a brother, Graddy Jackson; and four sisters, Margaret Holt, Sue Martin, Pearl Johnson, and Rhoda Martin.
A Home Going Celebration will be 11AM, Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at New Vision Original Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Old Neck cemetery directed by the Hemingway Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6-8PM, Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in the sanctuary of New Vision Original Free Will Baptist Church.
