Lizzie Dane Powell Cribb

Georgetown 

Lizzie Dane Powell Cribb, 85, the widow of Herbert Wesley Cribb, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Prince George Health Care.
Mrs. Cribb was born the daughter of Bealy Leo Powell and Addie Delia Marsh Powell on December 19, 1928 in Georgetown County.  She was a retired employee of Tomlinson’s Department Store.  She was a former member of Marsh Chapel Church where she severed as Choir Director and Sunday School Teacher.  She was also a member of the Georgetown Church of God where she severed in the Women’s Ministry, the Senior Sunday School Class, and the Golden Years Group.
Lizzie and Herbert were married on May 27, 1948 and celebrated 37 years together.  Their home was blessed with:  two children, Wesley Leo (Wanda) Cribb, Sr. and Randal “Randy” Michael (Brenda Ann) Cribb; five grandchildren, David Nelson (Stephanie) Cribb, Dana Nicole C. Edenfield, Wesley “Wes” Leo (Helen) Cribb II, Melissa Ann Cribb, and Angel Michele Cribb; and seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Carl, Dylan Edenfield, Gage Cribb, Steven Cooper, Ava McKenzie Cooper, Grayson Edenfield, and Ashlyn McKinley Cribb.  She also leaves behind: four sisters, Beelah Lee (Marsh) Haselden, Ethel Lee Avant, Joyce (Berry) McKenzie, and Doris McKenzie.
She was predeceased by:  her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Grace Vienna Cribb Carl; a great-grandson, Christopher Carl; three brothers, Junior Powell, Jessie Powell, and Donnie Powell; and two sisters, Edna Stone and Louise Hodge. 
A Home Going Celebration will be 6PM, Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the Georgetown Church of God.  A Committal Ceremony will be 11AM, Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens directed by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
 The Cribb Family will receive family and friends immediately after the service in the church sanctuary. 
 Memorials may be made to:  Georgetown Church of God OR Calvary Free Will Baptist Church.
