Leila Cannon Suggs, 93, the widow of Osby Lane Suggs, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, November 21, 2019 at her residence.
Mrs. Suggs was born the daughter of Jessie J. Cannon and Nettie Daniels Cannon on September 15, 1926 in Horry County.  She was a retired employee of BC Moores. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Andrews where she faithfully served on the bereavement committee and was a member of the Keenagers.  She enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid yard worker.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, caring sister, and a loyal friend.
She leaves behind:  four children, Barbara S. Ward, Sherrill S. Allen (John), Richard L. Suggs, and T. Mark Suggs; three grandchildren, Brandon L. Suggs, Paul Scoggins and Michael McPaul; and three great grandchildren, Lauren S. Corkum (Jamie), Taylor L. Smith, and Braydon Cartrette.  She also leaves behind:  a brother, Lester Cannon (Rachel).  
She was predeceased by:  her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Sherrie F. Crawford, a son-in-law, Donald Ward; four brothers, Albert Cannon, Clarence Cannon, Billy Cannon, and Robert Cannon; and a sister, Retha C. Dickens.   
A Home Going Celebration will be 2:30PM, Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Andrews.   Officiating will be Rev. Mark Stump and Rev. Paul Sapp. Interment will follow in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
The Suggs family will receive family and friends from 1:30-2:30PM in the church sanctuary.
