Lottie Rhetta Capps Howard, 78, widow of General Green Howard, victoriously finished her earthly journey and entered her Eternal Home, joining her awaiting Savior, family, and friends, on Monday morning, September 10, 2018, at East Cooper Medical Center.
Mrs. Howard was born the daughter of Mack “Delesie” Capps and Edna Lillian Harrelson Capps on October 11, 1939 in Hemingway.  She was a former service tech with Hemingway Apparel and retired from the packing department at Tupperware, Hemingway plant.  Mrs. Lottie was a charter member of Freedom Tabernacle Full Gospel Church and was a member of Liberty Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was an active member of the Senior Ladies ministry.  She enjoyed reading, coloring, going to the beach, and the mountains.  She was an avid pocketbook shopper with a devoted commitment to Belk purses.  Though words could never fully describe her joyous and contagious smile or the limitless hugs to family and friends, her acts of selfless giving, fervent prayer, and unconditional love leaves a legacy of a Beloved Mother. 
General and Lottie were married on August 27, 1955 and celebrated 54 years together.  Their home was blessed with:  three children, Cindy (Chris) Howell, Jeannie H. Davis, and Barbara “Bobbie” (Bobby) Allen; five grandchildren, Bobby “Jr” Perry, Brandon (Jen) Perry, Ashley (Ashley) Young, Jessica (Randall) Mims, and Brian (Brandi) Allen; eight great-grandchildren, Kristen, Nicholas, Briana, Zachery, Emsley, Kolton, Emma, and Braxton; and four great-great-grandchildren, Jayden, Ava, Chase, and Andie.   She also leaves behind:  three sisters, Rena Pope, Blanche (Boyd) Capps, and Bessie Howard; and a brother, Jimmy (Linda) Capps.
She was predeceased by:  her parents; her husband; a grandson, Michael Perry, II; two sisters, Dorothy Powers and Lucille Anderson; a brother, William M. “Bubba” Capps; a sister-in-law, Virginia Capps; and three brother-in-laws, Lou Allen Pope, Junior Lee Powers, and Jake Howard.
A Home Going Celebration will be 4PM, Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Freedom Tabernacle Full Gospel Church, 264 Roy Drive, Hemingway, SC.   Officiating will be Rev. Wayne Elliott and Rev. Scott Stone.   Interment directed by the Hemingway Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home will follow in the church cemetery.  
The Howard family will receive family and friends prior to the service beginning at 2:30 – 3:30PM in the church sanctuary.
