Lillie Bell Cook Wilson, 88, the widow
of Herman Elliott Wilson and a beloved mother completed this life’s earthly
journey on Tuesday evening, January 29, 2019, at her residence.
Mrs. Wilson was born a daughter
of Maxie Bryan Cook and Mary Viola Feagin Cook on December 9, 1930 at the
homestead in Oak Ridge Community in Andrews. She was the 7th sibling of
the Cook home which included William Bryan Cook, Cleveland Cook, Etna Cook,
Lucille Coker, Richard Cook, Carrie Nell Mims, Robbie Cook, Alfred Cook,
Annie Pearl Cooper, and JoAnn Ward. She was a lifelong member of the Oak
Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church. She leaves a legacy of “Strength for
every day, Perseverance in every situation, and Love that is unconditional.”
Her life’s treasures were held in her arms as she cared her children, grandchildren,
great grandchildren and her riches were the family and friends who’s life
she leaves an eternal hand print.
Lillie Bell and Herman were blessed
with: four children, Mary E. Bolen, Margaret W. (Jimmy) Nesbitt, Eva Marie
Wilson, and John H. (Carla) Wilson; seven grandchildren and nine great
grandchildren. Surviving, in addition to her family, are: three siblings;
Alfred Cook, Annie Pearl Cooper, and JoAnn (Wayne) Ward; and a large number
of nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by: her parents;
her husband; a daughter, Eva Marie; a grandson; and seven siblings.
A Home Going Celebration will be
2 PM, Saturday, February 2, 2019, at the Oak Ridge Pentecostal Holiness
Church. Officiating will be Rev. Stan Wilson and Geraldine Bednego. Interment
will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of
McKenzie Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Friday
evening, February 1, 2019, at the Andrews Chapel.
