Kenneth Devon “Peanut” Long, Jr., 22, departed this life on Monday, August 12, 2013 at MUSC.

Mr. Long was born the son of Kenneth “Ken” Devon (June Burroughs) Long, Sr. and Elizabeth Howard (Joe) Ward on September 3, 1990 in Georgetown.  He was a graduate of Andrews High School and was employed with Jim Young Construction Company. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed repairing and restoring automobiles.

He leaves behind:  his parents; his maternal grandmother, Alberta Howard; and four sisters, Angela (LM) Garrick, Kimberly Phillips, Maryann (Allen) McCray and Fredda Summers.  He also leaves behind a special extended family:  Joseph (Haley) Burroughs, Sheena Williamson, Joshua Burroughs.  

He was predeceased by:  paternal grandparents, Henry Long and Alberta Long Kirton; and his maternal grandfather, Perry E. Howard, Sr.  

Graveside Service will be 11 AM, Thursday, August 15, 2013, at the Ivey Cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home. 

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Wednesday evening, August 14, 2013 at the Andrews Chapel.
