JoAnn Young Welch, 73, a
beloved mother and the devoted wife of Rev. Darby Welch, went home to be
with the Lord, Monday, November 7, 2016 at McLeod Health Hospital, Florence,
Mrs. Welch was born the
daughter of Rev. Hubert Eugene Young and Orie Bingham Young on August 10,
1943, in Sumter. She was a 1961 graduate of Blackville High School;

SC; and attended Holmes Theological Seminary, Greenville, SC. Mrs.
Welch worked as secretary to the Horry County Administrator from 1977-1981;

SC Free Will Baptist of the Pentecostal Faith Conference and then SC Conference
of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. As a minister’s

legacy is defined in Joshua 24:15, “As for me and my household, we will
serve the Lord.”
