From the Director

James Robert “Bobby” Polson, 75, the widower of Shirley Jean Lane Polson, departed this life on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at his residence.
 Mr. Polson was born the son of John Wesley Polson and Annie Louise Henry Polson on January 25, 1940 in Cheraw.  He was a retired Service Operator with International Paper Company.  He enjoyed drag racing and playing billiards.  He was of the Baptist faith.
 He leaves behind: three children, Ronald Wayne Polson, Sherry Elaine Polson, and James Edward (Candi) Polson; six grandchildren, Jamie Polson, David Polson, Hunter J. Ashby, Justin R. Polson, Samantha Jo Polson, and Shelby F. Ashby; and a great-grandson, Paul “PJ”.  He also leaves behind:  two brothers, John (Erica) Polson and Wesley (Jessica) Lambert; three sisters, Barbara Alexandra, Betty Jean (Rev. Randy) Wilson, and Gerta (Gregg) Eaddy; and a special friend, Linda Hartley.
 He was predeceased by: his parents; his wife; and a son, David Polson. 
 A Celebration of Life Service will be 3PM, Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.  Interment will follow in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Cemetery directed by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
 Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:30-3PM in the Mausoleum. McKenzie Funeral Home is honored to serve the Polson family.
