Gladys Delene Blakeley Bath,
92, the widow of Harold Thomas Bath, Sr., passed away peacefully in her
sleep, Thursday morning, April 7, 2016 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial
Hospital.
Mrs. Bath was born
the daughter of James Edwin Blakeley and Minnie Frances Wilson Blakeley
on September 30, 1923 in Savannah, GA. She was a life long member
of the Andrews First Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother.
She is survived by:
five children, Mary Frances (Henry) B. Sowell, Gloria (Frank) B. Westbrook,
Harold “Habby” Bath, John “Dan” (Martha) Bath and Mark Bath; ten grandchildren,
seventeen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She also survived by: two sisters, Betty Jo Benton and Joyce McCray.
She was predeceased
by: her parents; her husband; two sisters, Jeanette Mercer and Lynn
DuBose; a daughter-in-law, Patricia “Patsy” Bath; and a grandson, Harold
T. “Tommy” Bath, III.
A Home Going Celebration
will be 3PM, Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Andrews First Baptist Church.
The Bath family will receive family and friends immediately after the service
in the Church Fellowship Hall.
A Committal Service
will be 5:30PM, Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Andrews Memorial Cemetery
directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
