Fred Sidney Ethridge

Fred Sidney Ethridge, 75, departed this life on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at his residence.  
 Mr. Ethridge was born the son of Fred Ethridge and Maude Ethridge on June 14, 1940 in Georgetown.  He was a retired United States Army Veteran and received numerous decorations and badges including the Army Commendation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Purple Heart.  He was a member of the Victory Free Will Baptist Church.  He had a positive impact on the Lawshe family.
 He leaves behind: five children, Fred Aaron “Pepper” Ethridge, Fritz Ryan Ethridge, Bryan Michael Ethridge, Lisa Maria Ethridge, and Dana L. Ethridge; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  He also leaves behind:  a brother, Cecil “Bucky” Ethridge; a sister, Patricia E. Timmons; and “the boys”, Rembert, Ashton, Cecil, and Juan.
 He was predeceased by:  two brothers, Thomas Edward Lewis and Franklin Tody Ethridge.
 A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held 3PM, Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Victory Free Will Baptist Church directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
 The Ethridge family will receive family and friends prior to the service from 2-3PM in the church sanctuary.
