Elmer Rogerson, 89, the widower of Dorothy “Dot” Fulton Rogerson, departed this life Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Prince George Health Care. 
Mr. Rogerson was born the son of William Doss Rogerson and Mary Porter Rogerson on April 15, 1928 in Georgetown County.  He was a United States National Guard Veteran.  He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.  He loved to hunt, fish, and ride horses.
He leaves behind: a daughter, Vivian R. (Donnie) Mercer; a granddaughter, Trudy M. (Rusty) Cannon; a great-granddaughter, Sabrina E. Sanchez; two step-great-grandchildren, Chase Cannon and Kallie Cannon; a niece, Judi Jones Maske; and a nephew, Ken (Hazel) Jones.
He was predeceased by:  his parents; his wife; and a sister, Hazel R. Jones.
A Home Going Celebration will be 11AM, Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the Bethel United Methodist Church.  Internment will follow in the church cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.  
Visitation will be 6-8PM, Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in the sanctuary of Bethel United Methodist Church.
