David Michael “Mike” Moorefield, 72, beloved husband of Patricia Elliott Moorefield, departed this life, Friday, July 10, 2020 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.  
Mr. Moorefield was born the son of Branson Dalheart Moorefield and Mildred Earline Steward Moorefield on January 13, 1948 in Winston-Salem, NC.   He was a retired employee of Norfolk Southern Railway and was a United States Army Veteran.  
He is survived by: his wife; two children, Michelle Woods (Bryan) and Alicia Thompson (Tim); three step-children, David Todd (Lisa), Karen Holar (Ralph), and Christopher Todd; two grandchildren, Megan and Brianna; four step-grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren. He is also survived by: a brother, Mark Moorefield; and two sisters, Shirley Davis and Janice Pope.
He was predeceased by:  his parents.
Graveside Service with Military Honors will be 10AM, Wednesday, July 15, 2020 in the Sampit United Methodist Church Cemetery directed by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
The Moorefield family will greet family and friends immediately after the service.
