Mr. Douglas McArthur “Mack” Jones, 74, beloved husband of Sally Jones, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, March 15, 2019 at his residence. 
Mr. Jones was born the son of Zacharius “Buddy” Jones and Mary Liza Lambert Jones on January 21, 1945 in Georgetown. He was a retired skilled carpenter and he attended the Calvary Free Will Baptist Church.  He was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of the Caney Gully Hunting Club.  He was a member of Drag Racers Association of Florence (DRAF); and his greatest enjoyment as a racing fan was watching and supporting his favorite race car driver, Hunter James Rogers.  
He leaves behind:  his bride, Sally; three children, Mary Annette Jones, Michael Anthony (Tabitha) Jones and Kimberly Nicole (JD) Jones Rogers; eight grandchildren, Hunter James Rogers, Dustin Blake Kinard, Lizzie Blakely, Brittany Michelle Adams, Steven Lavender, Triston Lavender, Zachary Lavender, Brennan Knowles; two great grandchildren, Jason Adams and Hayden James Rogers; loved like his own daughter, Erica Cook; loved as his own children, Eric Lambert and Derrick Marsh; and loved as his own grandchildren, Ethan Cook, McKenzie Cook, David Cook, and Garrett Polson.  He also leaves behind:  a brother, Donald Ray Jones; three sisters, Corrie Mae Jones Walker, Marylyn Jean Lambert, and Linda Faye J. (JP) Cribb; and special friends, Pastor Jack Todd and Johnny (Joyce) Forbes.
He was predeceased by:  his parents; four brothers, Robert Lee Jones, Bubba Jones, Johnny Dale Jones, and Harold Dean Jones; and five sisters, Rosa Lee Jornov, Juanita Jones Hoctor, Mary Virginia Jones Taylor, Bessie Jones Fisher, and Evalina Jones Newton.
 A Home Going Celebration will be 5PM, Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Jack Todd, Rev. Dayton Stamey, and Rev. Timothy Davis. Internment will follow in the Antioch Cemetery directed by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.  
 The Jones family will receive family and friends prior to the service from 3:30-4:30PM in the church sanctuary.
