Georgetown

          David Abram Hastings, 76, beloved husband of Susan Zemel Hastings, departed this life Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at his residence.
 Mr. Hastings was born the son of Donald Joseph Hastings and Nina Finger Hastings on February 26, 1942 in Albion, NY.  He was a United States Army Veteran and served 32 years in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.  He was a retired 27 year employee of Eastman Kodak and retired from Walmart in Georgetown.  He was a member of the American Legion #178 of Murrells Inlet and was a member of the Wedgefield Boat Club where he served as a board member.  He enjoyed fishing and boating.   He was a devoted husband, loving father, and a loyal friend.  
David and Susan were married on March 9, 1968 and celebrated 50 years together.  Their home was blessed with two children, Donald Hastings of Georgetown and Lynette (Gregory) Stetson of Lincolnton, NC. He also leaves behind: a sister, Diane (George) Patterson of Holley, NY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
 He was predeceased by his parents.
 A Celebration of Life Service with Military Honors will be 2PM, Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Calvary Free Will Baptist Church, 1663 North Fraser Street, Georgetown, SC. 
 The Hastings family will receive family and friends immediately after the service.
