Charlie Elton Creel, 84,
the widower of Walker Dell Mims Creel, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday,
November 23, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Creel was born the son
of Charlie Rufus Creel and Sarah Thompson Creel on September 29, 1932 in
Florence County. He attended the Six Mile Crossing Church of God.
He leaves behind:
two sons, Charles (Sonya) Creel and Jason (Barbara Dean) Creel; four grandchildren,
Jessica C. (Sam) Rogers, Katie Creel, Allison Creel, and Emily Creel; and
two great-grandchildren, Anna Rogers and Jase Rogers. He also leaves
behind: two brothers, CR Creel and Frances (Edith) Creel; and two sisters,
Darlee (Ray) Mitchum and Linda Cook.
He was predeceased
by: his parents; his wife; three brothers, Henry Creel, Garland “Buster”
Creel, and Alfred Creel; and two sisters, Thelma Lucas and Mary Johnson.
A Home Going Celebration
will be 11AM, Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Andrews First Pentecostal
Holiness Church. Interment will follow in the Piney Forest Cemetery
directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Visitation will be
6-8PM, Friday, November 25, 2016 at the Andrews Chapel.
