Carlette Cagle McDaniel, 44, wife of Rex Allen McDaniel and mother of Chancler O’Bryan McDaniel, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday morning, November 12, 2013, at her residence ending a struggle with cancer.
Mrs. McDaniel was born the daughter of Robert McCain Cagle and Ruthette Hicks Cagle on June 17, 1969, in Georgetown, SC. Carlette was very active in her community and church – Rose Hill Baptist Church where she served in many capacities including: the adult choir and team kid ministries. She was a charter member of C4 - Coastal Campmeeting Choir. With her joyous spirit and loving heart, Carlette committed her life to acts of selfless giving and caring leaving a Legacy as a Devoted Wife, Beloved Mother and Cherished Daughter & Sister.
Carlette and Rex were married on April 17, 1989 and celebrated 24 years together. Their home was blessed with a son, Chance. She leaves behind: her parents; three sisters, Tamara Cagle Williamson; Kimberly Cagle (Kenton) Hungerpiller, and Ashton Elizabeth Cagle; a nephew, McCain Williamson; and a niece, McKenzie Williamson; a mother-in-law, Edaphell McDaniel; five aunts; a uncle; and many friends.
She was predeceased by: maternal grandparents, Roy (Kathleen) Hicks; paternal grandparents, Carl L. “Buckshot” (Lucille) Cagle, Jr., and William Jason (Elizabeth “Libby”) Cagle, Jr.
A Home Going Celebration will be 2PM, Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Rose Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery directed by the Hemingway Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6–8 PM, Thursday evening, November 14, 2013 in the church sanctuary.
