From the Director


Dr. Charles Curtis Fairfax, 85, beloved husband of Eva Lee Strickland Fairfax departed this life on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Hospice Center of Charleston.

Mr. Fairfax was born the son of Curtis Fairfax and Ruth Floyd Fairfax on February 20, 1930 in Fairbluff, NC.  He was a United States Navy Veteran.  He was a 1995 graduate of Trinity Evangelical Seminary of Florida where he received his Doctoral of Ministry.  He was a national Evangelist.

Charles and Eva Lee were married on May 9, 1980 and celebrated 34 years together.  There home was blessed with:  three children, Tony Curtis Fairfax, Phyllis (Jim) DeMatteo, and Kim (Dale) Norris; two grandchildren, Stephanie (Cody) Wilbanks and Trevor Norris; and two great-grandchildren, Coby Wilbanks and Colt Wilbanks.  He also leaves behind a sister, Ella Mae Hendrix.
He was predeceased by:  his parents, and a sister, Ovaline Barberousse.  

A Graveside Service will be 2PM, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6-8PM, Tuesday, April 23, 2015 at the Andrews Chapel.
