Bobby Russell Ray, the widower
of Juanita “Nita” Sangster Ray, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday
afternoon, March 7, 2019, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Ray was born the son
of General Marion Ray and Myrtle Elizabeth Russell Ray on December 14,
1931 in Andrews. He was a retired Maintenance Supervisor with Andrews
Wire Company. He was a member of the Puncheon Creek Hunting club
and was a member of the Holy Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church.
He leaves behind:
five children, Judy R. Hus, Allen (Sandra) Ray, and Sheryl Ray, Kenneth
(Joyce) Harrelson, and Wanda (Danny) Mills; eleven grandchildren, fifteen
great grandchildren, and fifteen great great-grandchildren. He also
leaves behind: a brother, Frank (Geneva) Ray; two sisters, Elizabeth Johnson
and Betty Goodwin; and a daughter-in-law, CeCe Ray.
He was predeceased by: his
parents; his wife, Nita; a son, William Ray; a grandson, Johnathan Ray;
five brothers, Lethen Ray, David Ray, James “JD” Ray, Don Ray, and Dan
Ray; and three sisters, Adra Fulton, Ruth Forbes, and Annie Mae Pugh.
A Home Going Celebration
with Military Honors will be 2PM, Monday, March 11, 2019 at Holy Trinity
Pentecostal Holiness Church.
The Ray family will receive
family and friends prior the service from 1-2PM in the church sanctuary.
