ANDREWS

Benjamin Joe Jordan, 70, a beloved father and the husband of Sara Jordan, departed this life, Thursday morning, February 21, 2013 at his residence. 

Mr. Jordan was born the son of Sparkman Jordan and Juanita Jordan on January 23, 1943 in Williamsburg County.   He was a retired truck driver and attended the Happy Home Original Freewill Baptist Church.  He was an avid fisherman and a devoted family man. 

Joe and Sara were married on February 11, 1963 and celebrated 50 years together.   Their home was blessed with: three children, Daphne (Scotty) Mixon, Donna (Bruce) Cantley, and Bobbie Jo (Stacey) Altman; nine grandchildren, Christina Floyd, Sierra F. Woodard, Victor (Jessica) Floyd, Travis (Brittany) Cantley, Jerrica Cantley, Jordan Cantley, Joseph Altman, Dayton Altman, and Kaleb Altman; and two great-grandchildren, Cody Walker and Abbie Woodard.  He also leaves behind: a brother, Elwayne (Linda) Jordan; two adopted sisters, Louise (Charles) Campbell, Geraldine (Wayne) Anderson; two adopted brothers, Jerry (Ivy) Jordan and Earl (Darlene) Jordan; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Jordan.
 
He was predeceased by: his parents and a brother, John F. Jordan.  

Funeral Service will be 3 PM, Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Happy Home Original Free Will Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in the Piney Forest Cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Friday evening, February 22, 2013 in the sanctuary of Happy Home Original FWB Church.
