Bobby Joe Etheridge
Bobby Joe Etheridge, 80,
beloved husband of Annie Lou High Etheridge, went home to be with the Lord,
Friday, February 9, 2018 at MUSC.
Mr. Etheridge was born the
son of Jessie Etheridge and Emma Coward Etheridge on June 16, 1937 in Williamsburg
County. He was a retired employee of the United States Postal Service
and enjoyed driving cars for Hyatt Buick-GMC in Myrtle Beach, SC.
He was a United States Navy Veteran and was a member of Calvary Original
Free Will Baptist Church where he faithfully served as a deacon.
He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR racing and driving cars. He was
a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and a loyal friend.
Bobby and Ann were married
on October 30, 1959 and celebrated 59 years together. Their home
was blessed with two children, Donna Jean (Tom) Lippert and James Rembert
“Bert” (Lora) Etheridge; five grandchildren, Jessica Goins, Wendell (Meghan)
Goins, Kimberly Lippert, Michaela Etheridge, and Dalton Etheridge; three
great-grandchildren, Tatum, Greyson, and Jackson; and his beloved “fur-son”,
Alex. He is also survived by numerous half brothers and sisters.
A Home Going Celebration
will be 2PM, Monday, February 12, 2018 at Calvary Original Free Will Baptist
Church, 1663 N Fraser St, Georgetown. Officiating will be Rev.
Troy Cunningham and Rev. Timothy McKenzie. Interment will follow
in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens directed by the Georgetown Chapel of
McKenzie Funeral Home
The Etheridge family will
receive family and friends prior to the service from 12-2PM in the church
