Barbara Gail Ward Kellahan,
70, beloved wife of Roscoe Dowie Kellahan, III, went home to be with the
Lord, Saturday, December 2, 2017, at her residence.
Mrs. Kellahan was born the
daughter of Isman Ward and Margaret Driggers Ward on June 30, 1947 in Andrews.
She was a former employee with the Medical University of South Carolina
and a former floral designer with Piggly Wiggly. She was a member
of the Wando Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was active in the Women’s
Auxiliary. Her legacy is the epitome of the “Southern Mom” building
a home out of a house, establishing God as the cornerstone of her life,
and caring for her family and friends with continuous acts of unselfish
and sacrificial love. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother;
a cherished daughter, sister, and aunt; and a special friend.
She leaves behind:
her husband; two children, Kevin Heyward (Shanna) Kellahan and Jamie Ryan
(Mariah) Kellahan; and a granddaughter, Erin Nicole Kellahan. She
also leaves behind: three brothers, Wayne (JoAnn) Ward, Junior (Carol)
Ward, and Glenn (Ruthie) Ward; a sister, Libby (Harvey) Fort; loved like
a daughter, Alyssa Kellahan; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A Home Going Celebration
will be 11AM, Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Wando Pentecostal Holiness Church,
2713 Hwy 41N, Wando, SC 29492. Officiating will be Rev. Ronnie Newton and
Rev. Lewis Brown. Visitation will follow immediately after the service
in the church sanctuary.
Interment will be 1PM in
the Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road, Mt. Pleasant,
SC 29464 directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
